85..What is  the  meaning for OSS notes?

OSS Notes is an online SAP service and the portal that provides updates on patches in different modules of SAP and up-to-date information on SAP notes. SAP notes are correction instructions for the bugs or issues found in standard SAP programs. In case relevant notes are not found, SAP customers can log the issue with the SAP help desk through OSS Notes, although the service is not extended to objects developed or modified by customers. OSS Notes provides for the collection of correction notes for SAP objects considering the versions and release dates.

86..What is the procedure to lock a client?

B..type function module name - SCCR_LOCK_CLIENT
C..enter the Client No.
D..execute the function module.

87..What is the procedure to delete a client?

Run tcode SCC5

88..What is the importance of early  watch client?

This client is purely a service client that enables SAP to access remotely the customer system with regard to  analyzing errors and performance. You must not change or
delete this client.
Monitoring Service will provide Intact and your company an emailed report that displays the system status. The report is easy to read and identifies any critical system
issues in red for easy identification. The idea is to alert the user in advance to address any issues that may cause any system integrity issues.

89..What are all the steps to configure TMS?

Go 000, DDIC ... STMS--> here it will ask for domain controller -- give self domain --->   Domain controller has been assigned .
Now again  goto STMS->SAP SYSTEM -> give name V<SID>
till this point your domain controller is created and virtual system is created .Next our aim is to setup STMS

again goto STMS-> change ->statndard configuration ---> select second option (development and production system ) because here your dev system will your own system and virtual system would be production  system .

---> pop up will come  it will  automatically create the route .Save and exit.

90..How to prevent  the  other user to send  the mail from SAP?

71..How  to import the OSS notes?

use tcode snote

72..What is OCS and how to apply OCS patches?

OCS stands for online correction system. Using SPAM ou can apply OCS patches.

73..What is transport  domain and domain controller ?

transport domain contains copy of reference configuration. domain controller contains reference configuration transport domain consists of all systems that you plan to manage using stms. within transport domain all systems must have unique system ids and only one of these systems is identified as the domain controller the transport domain controller is the system where all TMS configuration settings are maintained. any changes in to the configuration settings are distributed to all systems in the landscape  a transport group is one or more systems that share a common transport directory

74..Why do we need  to apply  support package  via  client 000?

package has to effect the entire system, it is not client dependent. so, we install by login into 000 client

75..How can you achieve that a transport request from the DEV system
will be imported into several clients of the QAS system?

You can not address more then one consolidation route with one transport
request. If you use a client-specific transport target group, however, you can
achieve that the transport request will be ready for import into different clients of the QAS system.

76..What is consolidation route and  delivery routes?

The route between development to quality is called consolidation route.
The route between quality to production is called delivery route.
It is used to transport data dev-->qua-->prod.

77..How  to define Logon groups?

A logon group is a logical separation of instances and applications. You define logon groups to determine how client requests to certain applications are load balanced when your system setup uses the SAP Web Dispatcher or a third-party hardware load balancer in front of your application servers. For example, you can define a logon group so that a certain application (such as one with high CPU usage) is accessible only on the instances running on machines equipped with extra CPU resources.

78..What is Logon  load balancing?

Load distribution allows you to dynamically distribute the SAP users to application server instances. You can increase the efficiency of individual work groups by setting up multiple logon workgroups that consist of one or more application instances.
You can assign one or more application servers to certain workgroups or specific applications. When users log on to the system, they are automatically logged on to the server that currently has the best performance statistics and/or the fewest users

79..What is  the difference  between  synchronous and asynchronous transports?

Dialog or batch process is blocked until import has ended in synchronous transport
Dialog or batch process is released after import is started in asynchronous transport

80..How to configure regular  transactions such  as MM01 to view archived  transports?

MM01 in SAP is considered as SAP Gateway server. To configure MM01 one should have RFC Configured on SAP Application Server without the configuration of RFC Gateway Server such as MM01 cannot be configured in SAP .and moreover Archived Data can be viewed through with the help of TCode "SARA" through which one can view archived data in SAP Application Server.

61..Explain  about two services  that are  used to deal with  communication in
SAP?

Message Service: Used by the application servers to exchange short internal messages, all system communications.
Gateway Service: Enables communication between Basis and external applications using CPI-C protocol.

62..Which SAP processes are started when the SAP system or an instance is started?

A..SAPOSCOL
B..Message Server
C..Gateway Server

SAPOSCOL is an underlying process that should always be running, even if the
SAP system is shut down. START_SAP_NOW and LAUNCH_DB are made
up. The message server is started once for each SAP system, and the gateway
server is started once for each instance.

63..How are the SAP Roll area and Page area set in the SAP system?

You can view ST02 to view the current values as below
The following parameters are used to set the available size of the SAP Roll area and Page area.

rdisp/ROLL_MAXFS....Total amount of Roll (Filesystem+SHM) set in 8KB block
rdisp/ROLL_SHM......Shared memory element of Roll and set in 8KB blocks
rdisp/PG_MAXFS......Total amount of Page (Filesystem+SHM) set in 8KB block
rdisp/PG_SHM........Shared memory element of Page and set in 8KB blocks

Be aware that the file system amount is equal to MAXFS value minus the SHM value.

60MB or so each in memory should be sufficient for both SAP Page and Roll area's.

Use SAP transaction RZ11 Profile Parameter Maintenance to set the values. You should monitor the roll and paging usage after this to ensure that more than 80% of each is never used as starting to use the paging and roll files very regularly when buffers are exhausted would have some system performance implications. You can check the history of each instance's usage of these areas by double-clicking on the values from the initial screen of ST02.

64..which methods is it possible to create users in child systems in the
 context of active CUA?

A.. In the central system with transaction SU01, Systems tab page.
B.. In the central system with transaction SU01, Roles tab page

If you are using CUA, you can only create users in child systems using
transaction SU01 in the central system. The creation of users is possible using
the Systems, Roles, and Profiles tab pages.

65..What  is the  protocol used  by the NetWeaver  Gateway process?

SAP NetWeaver Gateway is a technology that provides a simple way to connect devices, environments and platforms to SAP software based on market standards. The framework enables development of innovative people centric solutions bringing the power of SAP business software into new experiences such as social and collaboration environments, mobile and tablet devices and rich internet applications.

The software offers the following capabilities:
OPEN - Any Device, Any Experience, Any Platform
PEOPLE - Optimized for user interaction scenarios
TIMELESS - Non disruptive, any SAP Business Suite version
DEVELOPERS - Simple APIs, no SAP knowledge, any tool
STANDARDS - Based on REST, ATOM/OData

66..What are all the different  types of  Log records in  SAP Basis?

Transaction code SM21 is used to check and analyze system logs for any critical log entries. The SAP System logs is the all system errors, warnings, user locks due to failed log on attempts from known users, and process messages in the system log.
1. From the initial screen, go to System Log -> Choose -> All remote system logs. Set the date a day before and click on Reread system log.
2. In the system log analysis window, you can check/analyze the critical error message by double clicking to it.
The list can be restricted for Problems Only, Problems and message and All messages. The information in this list can further used to analyze the errors which are indicated with Red sign under Priority. Also we get information of Tcode that was used by the user when the error got generated. There are to two different types of logs created by the system log:

A.. Local Logs
B.. Central Logs

67..What are the types of  update requests in  SAP?

There are two types of request :

A.. Customization request
B.. workbench Request.

68..How SAP GUI handles output screen  for the user?

The SAP front-end s/w can either run on the similar computer or on dissimilar computers given for that purpose.  User terminal input is accepted by the SAP terminal program SAP GUI, changed to SAP proprietary format and sent to the SAP dispatcher.  The dispatcher coordinates the information exchange among the SAP GUIs and the work processes

69..What is the difference  between  system  Trace, Developer Trace, and  system Log in SAP?

Basically, Tracing is a complete set of information (messages) which allows you to monitor the performance of an instance of a component and the user activity that occurs in that component. Traces may allow you to determine whether your component or application is working efficiently and as expected, even as your application, component, and environment change

System Trace:

If you want to record the internal SAP system activities, use the function SAP System Trace. Recording the processes in your application server enables you to monitor the system and facilitates troubleshooting.

Developer Trace:

Developer traces contain technical information for use in the event of problems with your system. Using the entries in the developer traces requires a sophisticated knowledge of the host systems in which your SAP system is running and of the SAP system itself.

System Log:

You can use the log to pinpoint and correct errors occurring in your system and its environment.
70..What  are Homogenous system copy and Heterogeneous system copy? How  you will do that?

When a homogeneous system copy is  performed, the target SAP system is installed  on the same operating system and the same  database system as the source SAP system.  The contents of the database are copied from  the source to the target system. During a  heterogeneous system copy, the operating  system or the database system is changed.  Migration is a synonym for heterogeneous  system copy
